| I’m a life-long Democrat and have lived both in England in Norway. I’m a professor of American Studies at the University of Oslo. I’ve published books and articles on religion and American politics as well as on environmental history. A major part of my job at UiO is to explain US history and politics for thousands of students and to engage them in debates/studies on US society. Another significant part of my job is to work with radio, newspaper, and magazines in Norway and in the US. The latter has included pieces in the Washington Post, Salon, NPR, the LA Times, and the New York Times. I would be thrilled to represent Democrats Abroad at the 2024 convention, drawing on my experience as a researcher, teacher, and historian who writes for the general public. |
