Candidate statement:
My name is Rufus F. Kovtun and I’m from our Czech chapter. I’m 19 years old and as long as I’ve been aware of the U.S. political landscape I’ve been an ardent supporter of the Democratic Party and its policies.
We all know how important young people were in getting President Biden elected in 2020 and how crucial we will be on his road to 270 in a couple of months. This party has played a major role in nurturing generation after generation of leaders and the more we continue to do so, the brighter our future will be. And as the chair of Prague’s School Student Union I’ve seen firsthand how much of a difference energized young men and women can make, on the campaign trail and beyond. Thankfully, the president shares this message.
