The aim of this event is to educate Americans abroad on the top tax and financial access issues faced as well as resources they can use to maintain a normal financial life abroad. We will discuss common concerns and give examples of both short and long-term solutions to help you continue enjoying the benefits of US citizenship.

This session is for Americans abroad/U.S. citizens/dual citizens/expats who:

• Can't find a way to save or invest in their country of residence
• Can't figure out how to file a US tax return without paying expensive accountants
• Scared that they can't maintain their US tax filing obligation
• Think they may never return to the US
• Feel there is no way out except to renounce
• Are concerned about passing on a tax burden to their dual citizen children

Topics discussed in the session will include:

• Solutions to some of the most common financial problems that Americans Abroad face
• Explain the false conclusions that the tax compliance industry is propagating in the American community abroad 
• Why many barriers Americans abroad face aren't due to FATCA
• Why your US citizenship is important
