Join us for this special webinar to discuss UK Individual Savings Account (ISAs) options available to Americans living in the UK. The aim of this event is the debunk the myth that Americans can't open an ISA. Presented by Rebecca Lammers, Chair of the Democrats Abroad Taxation Task Force and Nathalie Goldstein from MyExpatTaxes. This event will explain what ISAs are, if they're a good savings or investment product, and the US tax consequences.
The webinar will cover topics including:
- Cash vs Stocks & Shares ISAs
- Whether Junior or Lifetime ISAs are good savings vehicles for Americans in the UK
- How to find a bank that will allow Americans to open an ISA
- Recent changes to ISAs after the UK budget announcement
- 2026 changes to investment regulations to allow the sale of US ETFs to UK residents
- How to identify if something is a "PFIC"
- How ISAs are taxed on the US side
