No Kings: A Protest for Democracy – June 14

June 14th is Flag Day—and Donald Trump’s birthday. This year, he’s marking the occasion with a planned military parade in Washington, D.C., a display meant to project power and control. But real power doesn’t come from tanks or theatrics—it comes from the people.

Across the U.S., pro-democracy Americans will gather to resist authoritarianism and reclaim what the flag truly stands for. Democrats Abroad Germany is proud to join in this moment, planning our independent actions to say clearly: No Kings!

We are organizing a peaceful protest to stand against rising authoritarian threats and affirm our commitment to democratic values.

Join us on June 14th to say:
No strongmen. No tyrants. No Kings. Democracy belongs to the people.

Dinner with Adrian Fontes – June 14th

We’re thrilled to announce that Adrian Fontes, Arizona’s Secretary of State, will join Democrats Abroad for a special dinner in Munich on June 14th. Fontes is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, former prosecutor, and voting rights advocate. As the Secretary of State of Arizona, he played a key role in defending election integrity, defeating election denier Mark Finchem in 2022. Before that, he served as Maricopa County Recorder, expanding early voting and leading the vote-counting process in one of the most closely watched counties in the U.S. during the 2020 election.

Fontes has been a powerful voice against voter suppression and political interference in elections. Don’t miss this chance to hear from a national leader in the fight for democracy. Maybe you've seen him lately on MSNBC, CNN, or CBS News? Bring your questions!

You must RSVP in order to attend. Space is limited, please RSVP by Sunday, June 1.

Mark your calendars! July 4th is a Friday this year! We’ll celebrate Independence Day with a potluck gathering at the Englischer Garten. We usually meet near the children's playground. Look for an American flag hanging.

Bring an American food offering you might find at one of your potlucks. Drinks can be purchased at the Biergarten. Expect to have a fun, festive, and all-American evening.
