DAUK Oxford - Voter Registration Team Meeting, September 2026

Join our voter registration efforts at this critical juncture. Our message to voters is clear - register and vote early! So the time to start is right now. We need more volunteers to join our voter registration efforts. Join us and make a difference in these midterm elections.

Democrats Abroad UK Oxford is ramping up its voter registration and outreach efforts for 2026. Our Voter Registration Team already has planned several events this autumn with study abroad programs, university groups, and alumni networks to connect eligible voters with the resources they need to submit their ballots from abroad. Most of our outreach is nonpartisan, centered on the "Vote from Abroad" and the easy-to-use VoteFromAbroad.org platform.

We plan to have a strong presence at Oxford's Freshers Fair this autumn, where volunteers will assist students with ballot requests, answer questions, and help them submit their ballots for the all-important midterm elections. We are working to build lasting relationships with program directors across Oxford's 39 colleges, proprietary study abroad programs, and aggregate providers — laying the groundwork for engagement well beyond a single election cycle. With UCAS applications from U.S. students up 14%, the potential reach is significant.

We also have begun and hope to grow a regular presence at Farmers Markets throughout Oxford.

Volunteers are central to this effort, and we are actively recruiting. New volunteers can complete  free, VOTER ASSISTANCE TRAINING  through Democrats Abroad's Training Academy. If you'd like to get involved — whether tabling at events, doing peer outreach, or helping students navigate ballot returns — please reach out. Every conversation with a fellow American abroad can make a difference.
