Thanks to everyone who came out for the Debate Watch last night at Blackwell's Bookshop. Even though things got a little heated among the candidates on screen, we stand united in our work to elect a Democratic President in 2020! It was great to have people supporting a variety of candidates attend, and we appreciate all the organizing and energy people are putting into the primaries this year. As one of our members said who was originally from Burma, this is the most important election, not just for us as US citizens, but for the entire world!
See you at the GPP on Tuesday, March 3, and Saturday, March 7. If you have any questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yesterday, we were at the Oxford Town Hall for the (Re)freshers Fair helping students request their ballots through www.votefromabroad.org and explaining their options in voting in the presidential primary (either through their state or through the Global Presidential Primary). If you would like help requesting your ballot, join us at our Ballot Request & Voter Registration Tea on February 2. To vote in the Global Presidential Primary, join Democrats Abroad today! We hope to see you at our Primaries on March 3 (Super Tuesday!), and Saturday, March 7.
Thanks to Blackwell's (and Cat) for letting us hold a debate watch there on Thursday night. Stay tuned for future debate watch events in February - there are three debates currently scheduled!
Thanks to all who joined us Thursday, November 21 to watch the primary debate. It was especially great to sign some new people up for Democrats Abroad. Stay tuned for updates about watching the debates with us in 2020 as we approach the early primaries, including the Global Presidential Primary!
Nicole Satullo published Discussion with Former EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy in News 2019-11-24 10:27:06 -0500
We had a lively discussion on November 7 with former EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy about her time as EPA administrator, and her thoughts about ways advocates can encourage better environmental policies. We wish her all the best in her next endeavor as President and CEO of the NRDC.
We have been watching the Democratic Primary debates in preparation for voting in either our state primaries or the Global Presidential Primary on March 3 right here in Oxford. In October, we watched the debate at the Royal Oak.
Nicole Satullo published Discussion with Colorado State Rep. Chris Hansen in News 2019-10-06 12:00:36 -0400
Thanks to CO State Rep (and Oxford University DPhil) Chris Hansen for meeting with our members and answering many questions about climate change policies in Colorado, state government issues, and crafting winning messages in purple states.

Thanks to all who joined us to watch the September Primary Debate. We hope to see at our upcoming events this term including phone banking, speaker events, and more debates!
Thank you to all who joined us last night to watch the Second Primary Debates. Watching part of both debates was followed by a lively discussion. Congrats to our bingo winner! We hope to see you all again at our September Watch Party - Details TBA.
Thanks so much to Former Congressman Barney Frank and all those who attended our discussion last week. It was a wide-ranging conversation that touched on primary candidates, financial regulation, and the partisanship affecting our country. Thanks to Will Klemperer for the photos.
