Roll Up Your Sleeves!
Our next Manchester meeting will be Tuesday January 20 2026, the one year anniversary since Trump took office—a fact that should motivate us to get to work on the midterms!
We’re calling this our "Roll Up Your Sleeves" meeting, where our Northern marketing mavens and streetwise strategists put our heads together to address these three items:
1. Growing our numbers of DAs and supporters here in the North, especially American voters
2. Getting them registered
3. Getting out the vote
The midterms start January 1 for voters abroad. Why is that? Because that is the first day you can apply for your ballot. This will ensure you get all the ballots for the year - the primaries, special elections, and the general election on November 3, 2026.
Voters who live overseas have to request their ballot EVERY year. If you want to make sure your ballot is protected and arrives on time to get counted for November, make applying for your ballot one of your top New Year’s resolutions.
International Voter Registration Day is on January 15. You can apply for your ballot alone from home, but why not join others to do it and build communities of action at the same time?!
This year, DAUK is hosting in-person events all around the country for this purpose!
MANCHESTER MEET-UP JANUARY 20TH 6:00-8:00PM
We'll meet at the venerable Briton's Protection, a historic Grade II pub in central Manchester, right behind Bridgewater Hall. The manager is kindly giving us a private room upstairs. Come to learn more about DA and discuss a plan of action for the US midterm elections.
