Let's gooooo! Phase 2 of Depose the Dangerous Dictator starts now.

Northern Virginia friends, you have an important special election right now,...
...and you must return your ballot by mail. BUT, we have a bit of a situation here with postal mail, as you may know. Below is what we've discovered about sending things to the states. We hope you'll vote: Republican DOGE efforts claiming to "reduce waste" have resulted in massive numbers of Fairfax County residents losing their jobs. Folks in VA11 need a Democrat, not the far-right conservative think tank lackey who's the Republican candidate.
TIMELINE:Â The election is September 9, 2025; our overseas ballots must be received on/by Sept 12th.
First, La Poste workers are providing contradictory advice (which is probably not their fault):Â What you hear depends on who you speak with. Knowing that...
- LaPoste.com says you can mail letters (not packages: envelopes only, with no dollar value) to the US. But we know from reports you cannot do that via the machines: You must use an international stamp (from a desk agent or one you already have). Some agents tell us it's a risk. Some say do not use Chronopost. Bottom line: Your call, but act immediately if you go this route.
- Option 2: Explore a private courier, such as FedEx or DHL. IMPORTANT: Please confirm (in person, if possible) that they are sending documents (not packages) with no dollar value to the US. Much of the language you see online pertains to packages, not envelopes, so it's vital to confirm.
- In Paris/IDF and need help? Email Lisa.
- Everyone else can contact our national GOTV officer, Susan.

*We'll take donations in any amount, of course, including one-time gifts... whatever you can do right now is great and much appreciated!

DA France is organized by chapters: regions with local elected volunteer leaders coordinating events, voter registration, and more. With an influx of Americans moving to France, it's worth reminding everyone here where our chapters are located.Â

Excluding Paris, our chapters are located in fairly or very large regions. So we've worked hard to create subchapters where Americans live, allowing them to attend events close to home. We have official subchapters in Uzès, Angers, Rennes, Nantes, Brest, Lille, and Antibes/Cannes. There are more on the drawing board, but to make them official, we need volunteer leaders and hope you'll step up. Â
Reach out to a chapter or attend an event to connect with like-minded Americans committed to democracy, voting rights, and more. Â
MICHIGAN VOTERS: Want to help the Michigan Secretary of State test a new electronic ballot submissions platform for overseas voters? Please email Heidi Burch, Democrats Abroad's Global GOTV Coordinator, to hear about the project parameters and get connected. Thanks!Â
