Dan Rather Gives Ohio Rep. Joyce Beatty Highest Praise

The country needs more elected representatives to meet every Donald Trump order, action, or whim with a direct question: “What does this have to do with the real and urgent issues facing the American people, the punishing costs of food, fuel, and housing; the Iran war; and the absence of accountability for high-level pedophiles in the Epstein files?”

Trump Throws Tantrum at Kennedy Center Board Meeting

There's the Trump-appointed Kennedy Center Board. And then, there's Rep. Joyce Beatty, OH-03, Congress's ex officio member of the board and lone defender of the Kennedy name on the performing arts center. For months, she has led the battle to prevent Trump from tacking his name onto the signage. So far, the courts have upheld her efforts. In their most recent board meeting, this week, Trump threw a tantrum over being, once again, thwarted. Rep. Beatty describes the meeting here, in the Columbus Dispatch.

In separate coverage, The Independent (UK) reports that a minor incident with a contractor's forklift raises fears Trump may be staging an excuse to demolish the Center, if he doesn't get his way.
