Lawmakers Ask ODT to Halt/Revoke FLOCK Camera Permits
Six lawmakers from both major parties have asked Ohio Dept of Transportation to stem FLOCK use. One of them is filing legislation to that effect. Meanwhile, all three gubernatorial candidates are leaning toward more oversight and regulation, with the Libertarian calling for full banning. Columbus Mayor Ginther has gone from support after cameras helped in solving several crimes, to full opposition after one officer was found to have used the cams 272 times to follow one particular license plate.
