Bye Bye, Max Miller?

Might the OH-07 be in play?

A CommonDreams article on the primary sweep of Dem candidates backed by Working Families Party led us to look further into Brian Poindexter in the OH-07. WFP endorsed him.

As The Guardian noted back in April, Poindexter is an ironworker by trade, an apprenticeship instructor at Ironworkers Local 17, and a five-term councilman in Brook Park, Ohio. Building his  platform on worker’s rights, he won the House nomination on May 5, gaining nearly 40% in a seven-way Dem primary.

The 07 takes in Cuyahoga county south of Cleveland, all of Medina and Ashland counties, and the northern half of Wayne. It’s represented by Trump-endorsed incumbent bad-boy Max Miller, Sen. Bernie Moreno’s soon-to-be-ex son-in-law. That’s a lot of hyphens!

In the House primary, Dems turned out 57.5 thousand voters, and the GOP, though Miller was unopposed, turned out only 41.5 thousand. There’s good reason to request your ballot, OH 7-ers, and help forge a 7-11-13 bloc in northeast Ohio.
