DEMAND Congress Extend TPS

Help Protect the Haitian Community

Haitian refugees in Central Ohio are among those hardest hit by this administration's 'rule by cruel' mantra. Arriving with less, they also lacked an established community, but have fit in, worked hard, and helped Springfield (especially) recover from economic blight. Legislation currently in both houses of US Congress can help.

Take immediate action:

1) Contact your U.S. reps and demand that they support The Haiti Emergency Relief Act (House bill - HR 1689 or Senate bill - S. 742). This act would extend temporary legal protections for Haitian migrants.

2) Donate to HAITIANSUPPORTCENTER.ORG (Springfield); HACONET.ORG and OURHELPERS.ORG (Columbus). More than 30,000 Haitians are living in the area on TPS.
