Enviro Restoration: Keep It Going!

Ohio Has Led in Habitat Clean-Up ... Now Under Threat?

Not that many years ago, Ohio wildlife was under threat. The Clean Water Act and other pro-enviro rules helped restore what had been crapped on by unthinking development. The Scioto River was a prime example but not the only one. In the last 50 years, Ohio nature has been restored in a variety of ways, under a variety of mandates and efforts. This very well-written 'long read' from the Dispatch-Advocate cooperation first appeared in Columbus Monthly to laud the progress and potential threats to it. Long, yes. Full of facts and photos? Yes, again. Well worth a look at where we've come back from and what we do NOT want to return to.
