Governor Race: Truth or Ramaswamy?

Post-Covid Stats Bear Out Acton's Claims!

It's only July. By Labor Day, the billionaire-funded smoke-n-mirrors machine should be in full motion. Ramaswamy talks a good game, sounds sharp and informed. But he's often just a tad off. Tiffin.net presents today's example:

Vivek Ramaswamy, who was living in New York City during the pandemic, says Amy Acton was "spewing lies" about COVID's death rate. The hospital data from 2020 says otherwise.
Early ICU death rates did hit roughly 50%. Hospitalized patients' mortality did fall below 5% by June — exactly the arc Acton described.

For a skeptical but fairly balanced look at the two candidates, Matt and Laura at The Angry Democrat, add to the questions. How ya gonna afford it?

Ohio Capital Journal takes the comparison even further. It looks like Dems would like a little more specificity. And the Acton campaign will probably produce that in the pipeline after Labor Day. For now, we at least know we can rely on Acton's numbers, even if she isn't revealing all of them yet.
