Ed. Note: My Congressperson in the OH-03 is Joyce Beatty, she who sued to get the interloper’s name taken off the Kennedy Center last week. She commands a strong lead in the district, and we’re well represented. There are some other worthy candidates, working hard in the fly-over districts the state party has not always done a good job of supporting. Maybe one of them is yours!
The OH-12 runs from east of Columbus all the way to Monroe County on the PA line. In between, it picks up all of Muskingum, Guernsey, and Noble counties, plus Knox, Coshocton, Licking, and Fairfield, to the north and south, and part of several others. It’s a formidable area to cover, but Jerrad Christian is doing it, for the 2nd time. He learned a lot in 2024.
Christian is running against Troy Balderson -- according to this June 2 write-up in The Progressive -- with no party backing and no corporate money, entirely on the strength of the Ohioans who think the fight is worth having. Dig into the article. It’s good. And then have a quick listen to Christian at a small protest a month or two back.
