Ohio and Indiana Primaries - Rowing Against the Gerrymander!
If you voted your OH Primary ballot, you probably noted there weren't that many 'choices.' That is, Ohio Democrats had relatively few contested races. While that may say Ohio had less choice, it also means less money was spent duking out a primary. And that means more $$ left over for the big fight in November.
Indiana has a different situation. The state Republican-dominated senate resisted Trump's demand that they re-gerrymander to assure NO Democratic congressional districts. So, Trump came after the GOP state senators (7) who defied his edict. Let's hope Hoosiers respect their adherence to democratic norms as much as we do. (Let's also hope those seven aren't complete dunderheads on other issues!)
The Downballot has THIS PREVIEW of the two Ohio River Valley state races. As the sun goes down in the US, check them out and compare to the results a lot of us abroad will have to wait till tomorrow for.
