ICE Specialty: despicable tactics, inhumane treatment?

The lawsuit against ICE, filed last week by ACLU of Ohio et al, alleges warrantless arrests, arrests of citizens, and other abuses. This one centers on ICE illegal activity and disrespectful attitude. Most detainees seem to have been processed through the Westerville office and detained at a prison in Michigan.

Even more disturbing are accounts by immigration attorneys of what clients had experienced while detained in the Butler County jail. According to a January report by The Rooster, Sheriff Richard Jones is 'gleeful' about his work and the money paid by ICE for it. The stories of overcrowding, freezing temperatures, and starvation rations raise the question of what the 'detainee housing' money is being spent for. Jones is not up for re-election until 2028.
