Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose’s office confirmed its decision to send the voter registration data of the state’s 7.9 million voters to the U.S. Department of Justice at the behest of President Donald Trump for the purposes of federal review.
According to LaRose spokesperson Ben Kindel, the records include registered voters’ driver’s license information, date of birth, and the last four digits of voters’ social security numbers, when applicable, along with additional “publicly available information.”
