Better Access to Health Care Act ... Does It Solve a Problem?

It's up to voters to decide and weigh in with their state senators. This op-ed in the Ohio Capital Journal offers a nurse-practitioner's view. That it appears in OCJ indicates it likely has merit. 

The crucial question may be, "If you live an hour or more from a hospital or even a doctor -- and maybe lack health insurance coverage -- would you rather have an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) qualified to act with a degree of independence or no local healthcare at all?"

If you hail from a health hub or don't really care about Ohioans out in the health-desert boonies, this may not be a major issue for you, right? (2nd snarky question.) It looks like this bill may be one of those that doesn't affect abroad voters directly. But it does lend itself to alleviating a current problem and working toward a more equitable future.
