Stand Up in Joburg! 19 April

JOIN US Saturday 19 April - 2pm at Riversands Farm Village - Resist this weekend with fellow Americans here and back home. Gather for focused discussions, shared resources to fight mis- and disinformation, and a platform to STAND UP!

Stand up for: our democracy, rule of law, press freedom, academic independence, our government services, transparency...

Stand up against: Fear, intimidation, state capture, oligarchy, illegal deportations...

Please Bring:

• Camping/lawn chair
• Picnic blanket
• Sun protection (glasses, block)
• A STAND UP sign of your own…...or make one with us (boards and markers will be supplied)
• Names of 1-3 leaders you follow and why
• Courage, humor, hope and good energy to face the threats to our country and government

There will also be food and drinks for sale at the market if you’re hungry!
