Using Social Pressure to Get Out the Vote (GOTV)!

We can determine the country's future - if we all vote. Some will need a little persuasion. 

There are 10 Tuesdays between September 1st and Election Day November 3^rd!  Let’s mobilise US Citizens across Africa and The Gulf to work together in reaching voters.

Join us for weekly 30-min, Take Action style, GOTV-focused Zoom sessions during which we’ll offer participants a focused opportunity to “Do Something,” as First Lady Michelle Obama implored, toward finding and mobilising voters in the region. You are welcome to attend one session, a few, or all.

Fun fact: telling you that only 11% of overseas voters returned a ballot last cycle, compared to 76% back home, is a form of social pressure. (See what we did there?)

THIS WEEK, we are going to cover exactly that with the Ten Tuesdays to GOTV crew: how social pressure works as a GOTV tool and how to use it in your own outreach. 30 minutes. No experience needed. Come learn with us, and then take action to put your knowledge to work to turn out the vote!

While they still send handwritten postcards by snail mail, knock on doors and put up lawn signs in the States, much of our outreach is digital and we can quickly leverage our personal contacts and networks to reach others...if we take a few minutes to do it!  We’ll do a quick intro to the day’s action, share related resources and then spend the bulk of the time getting it done.

We'll also offer Voter Assistance in a breakout room if you have questions about requesting or returning your ballot.
