With beautiful weather on July 4th, about 30 people from the Frankfurt-Greater-Hessen chapter met in the Günthersburgpark in Frankfurt to celebrate Independence Day with an evening of lively conversation and delicious food. Old and young, new and long-term members and their guests shared familiar treats and enjoyed interesting discussions of current events and personal plans. In light of all the events going on in the USA, everyone seemed more aware than ever of the importance of the freedoms we were celebrating. As a special treat the Blue Blistering Barnacles, a local Irish Folk group, set up nearby and added a musical touch to the wonderful evening.
