Democrats Abroad teams and caucuses have been busy! Check out what we've been up to, for the week of Monday June 9:
- Democrats Abroad is partnering with FairFight and the Georgia Democratic Party Voter Protection Team to look for Georgia voters abroad with a story to tell about their voter experience in 2018. Please spread the word and share your story so we can help pressure Georgia to improve their voting process. Read more here.
- In case you missed the news, check out the Florida Democratic Party resolution passed last weekend, calling for Florida to work with Democrats Abroad and the DNC to support Floridians Abroad. We are thrilled to see our years of outreach paying off with resolutions like these!
- Our Global Study Abroad team is ready to help send home the votes in 2020 and ready to help our country committees too! We're currently working with each and every country committee to identify liaisons to help with this work around the world.
- Many thanks to the Taxation Task Force for organizing two great actions this week: They're supporting country committees with a Guide to Organizing a US Tax Seminar, and are wrapping up a tax reform call storm throughout the early part of next week. If you'd like to help organize a tax seminar, reach out to your local Democrats Abroad leaders with ideas to get started, and don't forget to call your representatives in Congress to let them know where you stand!
Interested in any of the above? Have other ideas to get involved globally? Check out our current volunteer opportunities and consider joining one or more of our caucuses if you haven't already done so. When signing up to volunteer, let us know of any specific areas you'd like to focus on, such as pressuring Congress on USCIS office closures.
