GBC Beyond the Ballot: Affordability

Join the Global Black Caucus for the second in our series of issues affecting our community and how we vote on them. Candidates seeking our votes must educate themselves and respond to these issues. This series helps us flex and build our advocacy muscles on the challenges impacting our lives and the lives of folks back home.

 

On September 6th, we’ll turn to affordability, a huge topic. We’ll talk about:

• the cascade effect when affordability becomes out of reach

• what solutions have the greatest depth and reach

• how you determine who to talk to regarding a policy you want to stop or see implemented

Then we’ll put all that into action.

You’ll walk away with direct advocacy practice, a framework for evaluating which elected official impacts a certain policy, and a resource sheet for further exploration. It’s a true power hour!
