Senator Cory Booker Withdraws from Primary Ballot


Democrats Abroad announces that Senator Cory Booker has withdrawn from the Global Presidential Primary Ballot

On January 29th, Cory Booker and his campaign officially withdrew his name from the Democrats Abroad 2020 Global Presidential Primary Ballot. 

11 candidates will now appear on the Democrats Abroad ballot. Those candidates are, in alphabetical order:

  • Michael Bennet
  • Joe Biden
  • Michael Bloomberg
  • Pete Buttigieg
  • Tulsi Gabbard
  • Amy Klobuchar
  • Deval Patrick
  • Bernie Sanders
  • Tom Steyer
  • Elizabeth Warren
  • Andrew Yang 

The primary will run from March 3rd to March 10th, 2020. Americans abroad will have the opportunity to vote at more than 240 voting centers around the world, as well as via postal mail, fax and email. 

Democrats Abroad will send 13 pledged delegates and 8 automatic delegates to the 2020 Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin next July. The results of the Global Presidential Primary will determine which candidates the delegates represent at the Convention.
