A Vigil for Justice and Democracy
Join us in Brussels for our latest protest, a vigil to mark the first year of the Trump administration, to contemplate all that we have lost as a nation, and to mourn the victims of ICE brutality, particularly Renée Good, who was cruelly shot on January 7th in Minneapolis. We will be using this time to honor her and the peaceful resistance she represents to the increasingly lawless behavior of the current administration. We will be raising awareness of their myriad transgressions against democracy, rule of law, and basic human decency. There will be an opportunity for anyone who wants to share their thoughts.
We'll meet at Place des Martyrs for this vigil. Feel free to bring your own candle, but we'll have some available for anyone who doesn't have time to pick one up. Keep in mind it will be cold out, so please remember to dress warm.
