On February 25, 2025, members of Democrats Abroad's Global Veterans and Military Families Caucus spoke with Frances Causey, an award-winning documentary filmmaker. During this call, Frances reflected on the making of her recent film, "Final Fight," now available on the streaming apps Tubi and Amazon Prime. Frances interviewed several veterans who have struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) including a former congressional candidate, traumatic brain injury (TBI), military sexual trauma (MST), and more. The film reiterates the importance of policymaking when it comes to veterans' benefits and health care, and the VA accommodating individuals with service-connected disabilities and mental health issues. VMF participants on the call included Kee Evans (in Guatemala), Susan Fitoussi (France), Michael Ramos (Australia), and the discussion was facilitated by Liz Blackbourn (China).
