Statement of Purpose for the Global Women's Caucus

The Global Women’s Caucus is a powerful voice for Americans around the world, united in resistance against threats to women's rights - which are human rights. In these unprecedented times, complacency is not an option. We cannot stand by while fundamental freedoms are under attack. We are committed to advancing equality, justice, and representation at every level of political engagement.

We will speak boldly and act with precision, Women are in the majority. We work, we fight, we shine, and we raise our children. And we always leave time to dance.

Our Purpose and Commitments:

We are dedicated to:

• Actively seeking and supporting the leadership of women of all age groups, LGBTQ+ individuals, women of color, ensuring our movement reflects the diversity of our global community

• Empowering Caucus members to take timely, impactful action about critical issues affecting their rights, health, and livelihoods.

• Ensuring that women’s perspectives are fully integrated into the platform of Democrats Abroad and the Democratic Party, from advocacy and communication to GOTV (Get Out the Vote) strategies.

• Promoting Democratic candidates at all levels of government who prioritize and are committed to policies that protect and advance women’s rights, equality, and well-being.

• Vigilantly monitoring legislation that threatens our freedoms and constitutional rights, especially those that endanger the health, safety, and futures of our children.

• Fostering coordination, mentorship, and knowledge exchange with other caucuses of Democrats Abroad to strengthen our collective impact.

• Getting loud, being audacious, and making change.
