Tax Seminar

Calling all American ex-pats!

The Hamburg Chapter of Democrats Abroad is hosting an informal event for U.S. citizens living abroad to inform them of their U.S. tax filing obligations. This is the chance to learn everything you ever wanted to know about US taxes but were afraid to ask!

  • Just how many Americans living abroad believe they do not have to file a US tax form?
  • How many know they do but feel overwhelmed by confusing forms that don't seem to correspond to their professional activities in Germany?
  • And even the most informed and conscientious US citizens may be a bit rattled by new rules and regulations and complex tax laws.

Special guest is CPA David Opperman, who specializes in income tax preparation for Americans abroad. David will be holding an informal information session about your tax obligations and filing US taxes and fielding any and all questions you might have.

When:            Saturday, February 2, 2019, 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Where:           SPD Landesgeschäftsstelle*

Kurt-Schuhmacher-Allee 10
20097 Hamburg

This is also an excellent opportunity to mingle with fellow American ex-pats over coffee and cookies.

Please RSVP by Monday, January 28, 2019 at [email protected]

*The generous support of the SPD has made it possible to hold this event in the heart of Hamburg.
