An Evening of Democrats Abroad Munich and Southern Bavaria: Conversation & the Midterm Elections

Come join us for a lively and welcoming evening as we gather with members of Democrats Abroad Munich and Southern Bavaria to talk about the upcoming U.S. midterm 2026 elections!

On September 19, those of us who have registered to vote will receive our ballots electronically. Depending on your state, you may return your ballot by email, fax, or mail. If you haven’t yet registered or requested your ballot, this is also a great opportunity to learn more about the process and get connected with resources to help you make sure your voice is heard this election season.

Before the ballots arrive, let’s get together to share a meal, enjoy good company, and have an engaging conversation about the election. What issues are most important to voters? How might the election unfold? And what could the results mean for the future of our communities and our democracy?

Bring your thoughts, questions, and curiosity—and be ready to hear a variety of perspectives. Whether you are a long-time voter, recently moved abroad, or still figuring out how to register and request your ballot, you are warmly welcome to join us.

There will be plenty of opportunities to mingle, laugh, share ideas, and enjoy refreshments while connecting with others in Democrats Abroad Munich and Southern Bavaria. Most importantly, we’ll create a space for open, thoughtful, and respectful conversation.

On each table there will be a card with these questions:

• Your Name:

• The state you vote for.

• Who are the candidates that you support in your county?

• What policies have you found among the candidates that you hope they can carry out?

Please also take time to listen to your whole table. At the end of the day we want to create synergy to a return of DEMOCRACY and it is going to take every single one of us to take part and be heard and locate logical solutions.
