Meeting point: across the street from the US Consulate in Munich, GermanyDA Germany Munich Chapter March for Reproductive Justice
We must MOBILIZE and DEFEND our Reproductive Rights!
Join the Munich chapter of Democrats Abroad and let your voice be heard to defend the reproductive rights of women across the USA!

Logistics:
- We will meet at 11:00 AM across Von-der-Tann-Str. from the US Consulate in Munich
- We begin marching at 12:00 PM down Maximilianstr., ending at the Maximilianeum.
- Please be aware of Democrat Abroad Germany's "3G" policy: everyone attending must be prepared to show proof of being fully vaccinated, recovered, or a negative test from the previous 48 hours for Covid.
- Please also wear FFP-2 or surgical masks and keep 1.5 meters distance from everyone, so that we can all stay safe!
Why March?
Rarely has any movement been the result of one lone voice. Strength in numbers reflects the urgency and desire for change, and marches (whether in person or virtually) present the opportunity for people to come together and display that desire in solidarity.
Join the Women’s March on October 2nd and stand in solidarity with those who will be marching across the US, to protect and defend reproductive rights. Bring your signs and make it clear how you feel about this important issue. This is a peaceful demonstration.
SUPPORT THE WHPA!
The WHPA is federal legislation that will protect the right to access abortion care throughout the United States. In response to the Texas Abortion Ban, Nancy Pelosi announced that the Women’s Health Protection Act will get its first-ever vote in the House of Representatives.
WHPA protects the right to access abortion free from medically unnecessary restrictions and bans on abortion—including mandatory waiting periods, biased counseling, two-trip requirements, and mandatory ultrasounds.
WHPA would create a statutory right for health care providers to provide abortion care, and a corresponding right for their patients to receive that care, free from medically unnecessary restrictions that single out abortion and impede access.
No act is more patriotic than voting. Make sure you are registered to vote every year by visiting votefromabroad.org, and please contact your Congressional representative to vote "yes" on the WHPA

State Teams GOTV for the 2022 Midterms

Join the Democrats Abroad State Teams to discuss GOTV plans for the 2022 Midterm elections. From determining which races need the most attention to addressing voter support needs, it's all hands on deck to ensure that we keep Congress and flip even more Senate seats.
We'll also look at critical state races from the Gubernatorial to the State Legislatures with a view to key issues and voting rights. It's also a good to chance to look at the redistricting process and see where we will need to focus our efforts after the lines are redrawn.
In the meantime, join us on Slack to find out what the states are planning and get involved.
If you have any questions, please write to [email protected].

Zoom - ONLINEOktoberfest Celebration: Online Beer Tasting
Despite Oktoberfest being cancelled again this year, Democrats Abroad Germany has just the thing for you to celebrate: an online beer tasting!

DA Germany will gather online on Saturday, October 30th at 7pm CEST for the 13th Annual Democrats Abroad Oktoberfest Extravaganza! Instead of meeting in our usually reserved gallery seats, we will meet online from the comforts of our home for an online beer tasting.
Our online Oktoberfest ticket (€46) includes:
- 5 beers
- 1 tasting glass
- Professional moderation and guidance during the tasting in English from Vagabund Brauerei
The tasting will last approximately 1-1.5 hours. The beer and glass will be sent to you prior to the event from the tasting company. These tasting packages can only be sent to addresses in Germany and EU member states. We encourage other country committees to join in on the fun, but please note that if your shipping address is outside of Germany, ticket costs are €51 (an additional €5 is added to the ticket price to account for shipping costs).
To reserve your tickets, you must complete this registration form (click here to open the form). In order to receive the beer kits in time, you must RSVP by October 11, 2021. The tasting will be held on Zoom and we will send participants the meeting log-in information 48 hours before the event.
**Please remember that Democrats Abroad may only accept donations from U.S. citizens.**
In case you’re interested: we’re also hosting an online wine tasting on September 25th from 7-9pm CEST! For more information about the online wine tasting, click here.
An Oktoberfest Prize Draw will also take place throughout the two Oktoberfest events. Click here for more information.
