Subject: Call for Nominations–Regional Vice Chair for Europe/Middle East/Africa
Dear Democrats Abroad in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa,
Nominations are welcome from members of Democrats Abroad (DA) in our region, for the bi-annual election of the important position of Regional Vice Chair (RVC) for Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA). The election will take place in-person and online at the EMEA Regional Meeting in Washington, DC on May 18th at 8:00 a.m. (EDT), as part of the DA international meeting. Votes are allocated to each EMEA country committee and will be cast by country committee chairs and vice chairs.

Here is a brief description of the RVC position:
- The RVC serves as one of eight members of the International Executive Committee of the Democrats Abroad.
- The RVC is elected to a two-year term, and may not serve more than two consecutive terms.
Self nominations and nominations of others are welcome.
Please submit nominations via the nomination form at this link no later than Thursday, April 18th 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time). Each candidate will also be asked to complete a questionnaire to provide a detailed candidate profile which will be posted on the DA website.
Nominations from the floor are also possible at the election meeting on May 18th. All candidates will be given time to make a short speech.
Eligibility – each nominee must:
- be a member of Democrats Abroad for at least 6 months prior to the election; i.e. joined prior to December 18, 2018
- have their principal residence in EMEA

adhere to the principles of the Democratic Party of the United States
