DAG Chapter Elections 2025

DA GERMANY 2025 CHAPTER ELECTIONS

DA Germany holds elections for new officers in the first quarter of every odd-number year. This includes positions at the local chapter level and the Germany national level.

All local chapter elections are held before the national elections.

Below, you will find an overview of the chapter elections.

OVERVIEW

The 2025 chapter election rules  are defined in the DA Germany Bylaws and the DA Germany Chapter Election Rules. Chapter-level elections are facilitated by a five-member Chapter Elections and Nominations Committee (CNEC).

Chapter Positions

Chapters may opt to elect only a Chapter Chair and Chapter Vice Chair. However, it is strongly encouraged that, in addition to these two positions, for which gender balance rules shall apply, Chapters elect additional members to their Chapter Board. The additional positions on the Chapter Board may include Chapter Treasurer, Chapter Secretary, Chapter GOTV Coordinator, and any other positions deemed necessary for the running of the Chapter. Click here to read the chapter job descriptions.

Should a position on the Chapter Board be advertised, but not filled during the Chapter elections, the Chapter Chair can fill such vacancy at a later date according to the rules set out in DAG Bylaws Section 6.4.

Chapter Elections

Information about each chapter election will be found on the chapter's 2025 election page. This includes:

  • Date and time of election
  • Link to RSVP for the election meeting
  • List of elected positions
  • Nomination deadline and link to nomination form
  • List of candidates (posted 14 days before Chapter Election)

Once the details of elections are worked out for a particular chapter, the CNEC will send out an email to the chapter members announcing the election. The CNEC will also update the Election Page for each Chapter with this information after sending out the email. The list of candidates will be updated 14 days prior to the Chapter Election Date to give each chapter time to identify nominees.

Nominees can also write a Candidate Statement once they have decided to run. If you see a candidate you would like to endorse, you can also write a Letter of Endorsement for the candidate or candidates you would like to support.

Chapter Election Pages

More detailed links to each chapter's election page will be available once you receive an email from CNEC for your Chapter. If you received an email with your Election Details, but you do not see this information on your Chapter's page, please contact [email protected]
