La Lucha Continúa - Managing funds in multiple currencies
Getting your money from here to there without losing too much of it to bank fees is a challenge that all international travelers and global citizens must deal with. DA Barcelona member and maestro of all things internet, Elizabeth Breedlove, will walk us through one online tool that she has found valuable for operating in multiple currencies: Wise (previously TransferWise).
If you listen to podcasts or talk to fellow expats or travelers, you may have heard of Wise and you probably have questions. Elizabeth will explain from her personal experience with the tool, how Wise works and why it may be a good solution for you. She will walk us through the steps to move funds in and out of Wise, how to convert between currencies, transfer funds to others, create a “jar” to set money aside, use a Wise card to spend in local currencies, and more.
