Democrats Abroad France Chapter and Caucus Leadership Elections
Call for Candidates
We are seeking candidates for our upcoming DA France leadership elections in our 12 Chapters and 6 Caucuses, which will be held in early March, 2025. The deadline for declaring candidacies will be in late February, depending on the Chapter or Caucus. Get involved, by running for Chapter and Caucus leadership!
DA France’s national leadership team will be holding elections in early April, and all positions are open as well. More information about this will be forthcoming.
Democrats Abroad France is a 100% volunteer-run organization, and we elect our leaders every two years for a two-year term. We organize social and political activities that promote our Democratic ideals and values, and encourage the American community in France to exercise their right to vote. Each Chapter and Caucus has a team of volunteer leaders, and all of the positions are open for election.
Candidates must be members of Democrats Abroad France, US citizens 18 years or older, and able to serve a full term of two years. They must be living in the Chapter region (for Chapter elections) or a member of the Caucus (for Caucuses), Every eligible member with interest, energy, conviction and ideas is encouraged to run. Previous organizing experience is welcome but not necessary.
Your local Chapter will be contacting you by email about how to run and to vote in the upcoming elections. Any Caucuses you are a member of will also be contacting you soon. We will host information sessions via Zoom, for members interested in learning more about DA France and what leadership entails. The dates are:

These are the possible positions that are open for election in our Chapters:
- Chair: The Chair sets the agendas and leads the meetings of the Chapter Executive Committee. They plan and execute the Chapter’s activities, working together with their team. They participate as a voting member of DA France’s National Executive Committee, and are responsible for monthly Chapter reports to the DA France Executive Committee.
- Vice Chair: The Vice Chair assists the Chair, and the duties of the Chair may be shared with the Vice Chair.
- Secretary: The Secretary maintains the archives of the Chapter, and is in charge of the membership database.
- Treasurer: The Treasurer manages the Chapter finances, which are small amounts kept in cash.
- Communications Officer: The Comms Officer is responsible for communications with members as well as the social media of the Chapter. The Comms Officer works together with the Chair on newsletters sent by email.
- GOTV Coordinator: The Get Out The Vote (GOTV) Coordinator is responsible for organizing the local voter registration activities. The GOTV Coordinator will work together with the DA France National GOTV Officer.
- Events Officer: The Events Officer is responsible for organizing events, in collaboration with the other leaders.
- Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Coordinator welcomes and recruits new volunteers, and helps the Chapter leadership integrate them into the team.
- Youth Coordinator: The Youth Coordinator works to recruit young people and organizes events targeting people between 18 and 35.
- Members at Large: Members at Large are Chapter Executive Committee members who help in various capacities but who don’t have a specific role.
