Democrats Abroad Canada-Toronto Chapter is a part of the Democratic Party Committee Abroad, the official arm of the Democratic Party representing party members living outside of the US.
We help US citizens vote in US elections through voter registration and keeping people informed on key issues. We also have lots of opportunities to volunteer with our Get Out the Vote efforts!
Hundreds of U.S. citizen volunteers across Canada are working to educate all eligible U.S. voters on their right to vote and how to get their ballots to vote in every election. That includes American Dual Citizens who were born in the U.S. and those born in Canada to an American parent(s), who have the right to vote in most states. Americans living in Canada CAN deliver the difference in close elections.
Past Toronto events include Anti-Trump Rallies and Marches, Tax Seminars, Fourth of July parties, Thanksgiving dinners, Election and Debate Watch parties, voter registration events at Pride and other festivals, Primary In-person voting and pub meet-ups. We are active in-person and online as much as possible. Please check our Events page and News page for more information.
