ERA Status

1/25/2019 - ERA bills expected to be submitted during the 2019 session

3/5/2019 - ERA Bill S-184 introduced into the Senate

3/5/2019 - ERA Bill H-271 introduced into the House

3/8/2019 - All Democrats added their names as co-sponsors of the ERA bills on International Women's Day

7/12/2019 - Session ended without either bill making it out of committee - will remain in play for 2020 since no vote was taken in 2019

2020 State Legislature Session Dates

May 13 through June 30 with the cross-over date.

What You Can Do

1) Contact your state senator and representative asking them to co-sponsor and support the ERA bills.

2) Contact your state U.S. Senators to co-sponsor the bill to eliminate the deadline for the ERA or thank them if they already are.

3) Contact your state U.S. Representative to co-sponsor the bill to eliminate the deadline for the ERA or thank them if they already are.
