On May 12th, DAN members rallied in front of Stortinget to coincide with President Obama’s scheduled speaking tour visit to Oslo. Our theme was From Hope to Action: Join the Fight!
Speakers included DAN members Christina Skovsgaard, Erica Gibson, David Morse, Lisa Cooper, John Alan Reese, Evan McLaren, and Thomas Seltzer. Topics covered DOGE and the surveillance state, the SAVE act, civil rights and DEI, the state of policing in America, personal experiences with fascism, the US/Norway constitutional connection, and actions people can take including voting in this year's elections in the US. We also had a sing-along and dance-along with music from Tracee Lewis Meyn and Feleboga. Around 70-80 people turned out with signs and song from as far away as Stavanger and Trondheim.
