A Warm Welcome to Democrats Abroad Alicante Chapter!
Thank you for joining us! We trust that you will enjoy being a part of our energetic movement, as we endeavor to make a significant difference in the important upcoming elections.
Founded in January 2020, Democrats Abroad Alicante (DAA) is an all-inclusive organization which supports the rights of all U.S. citizens living abroad. Our geographic focus spans from Denia to Alicante to Torrevieja. We provide our members with up-to-date voting information through our emails and Facebook Group, so you can be sure your vote will count.
We know what a shock the Trump 2024 win was but that is even more reason to stay involved. The elections of 2020 and 2022 were a major turning point for Democrats Abroad. Votes from abroad were the margin of victory in the two Senate races in Georgia and played a big role in the Democrats winning Arizona in the presidential election. Many more down ballot races were also impacted. Our votes matter!
The 2026 midterms are coming sooner than later, and they are crucial for keeping the Trump administration in check. We are only a few seats away from re-taking the House of Representatives and winning there sets the tone for the Presidential election two years later.
There are a couple of simple things we would like you to do...
• Americans need to re-register each year to be eligible to continue voting absentee from abroad. Please make sure you do this early in 2025 so you can vote in important off-year elections. For more detailed instructions, go to www.votefromabroad.org.
Together, we will make a difference in the 2025 and 2026 elections simply by voting and encouraging our fellow Democrats to do the same. Thank you for having taken that important step forward by joining Democrats Abroad Alicante.
