Cookie Swap Party & March to the Ballot Box
Come celebrate 2018 with your fellow Democrats living in Czech Republic and join the global March to the Ballot Box.
Take a break from your new year's resolutions by trying (and taking home) homemade cookies! Plus we'll be helping everybody request their ballots right there at the party and commemorating (commiserating?) the anniversary of the president's ascension to the White House by ensuring we all March to the Ballot Box in November!
Please bake up your favorite cookies and bring at least two-to-three dozen plus a tray to put them on. And if you'd like, bring along a bottle of your favorite cheeky beverage to keep the warm holiday spirit alive. (And don't forget a Tupperware-type container for you to take home samples of your favorite cookies from others at the party.)
If you're not the baking type, you're of course welcome to attend. Even bakery-bought cookies will be welcome. We promise, no side eye! And if you don't want to bring anything, the other option is to make a donation. Then definitely no side eye!
We'll also have computers available and ready to assist you with requesting your ballot. Remember, you must request your ballot EVERY YEAR in order to vote from abroad in federal elections. If you're interested in volunteering with DA in 2018, we'll also be teaching folks how to help others to register or request their ballots to ensure our voices are heard in this terribly important upcoming midterm election where our efforts will help us take back the House.
