Global Membership Engagement Coordinator

About the Position

Democrats Abroad (DA) was the margin of victory for Joe Biden in Georgia and Arizona, and we’re determined to not only deliver scale-tipping votes in races across the United States in 2021 and 2022, but also transport the perspectives of U.S. citizens living abroad back to lawmakers stateside. In consultation with relevant stakeholders, especially the Global Advocacy Coordinator, the Global Membership Engagement Coordinator will develop, coordinate, and oversee global volunteer opportunities for DA members, as well as provide support for volunteer recruitment in DA country committees as requested – with the ultimate goal of creating meaningful, sustainable, and impactful political engagement that will drive more ballot requests and returns among the larger U.S. population abroad.

  • Create and implement workflows to ensure that DA members who express interest in volunteering are contacted and supported
  • Motivate and thank volunteers
  • In consultation with the Global Events Coordinator, organize regular online meet and greets for DA members to learn about DA and volunteer opportunities
  • Work closely with Global Social Media, Internal Communications, and Press Coordinators to ensure coherent, consistent, and effective internal and external messaging about volunteer opportunities
  • Report to DA International Executive Committee members on a bi-weekly basis and regularly attend their meetings
