🔥🔮 The Cauldron: Speaking the Unspoken — Race, Power, and What Can Be Done
A monthly space for women’s voices abroad. Speak. Share. Stir the pot.
February is Black History Month. At the same time, conversations about race, racism, and diversity have become increasingly constrained, sometimes outright discouraged, in the U.S. political landscape. Not because these issues have been resolved, but because they remain deeply present, contested, and uncomfortable.
This month’s Cauldron creates space for a frank, open, and supportive conversation about what we’re seeing, what we’re feeling, and what, if anything, we can do about it. No scripts. No slogans. Just honesty, listening, and collective sensemaking.
We’ll talk about power. Silence. Fatigue. Responsibility. And possibility. We’ll name what’s been pushed to the margins and explore how we stay grounded, connected, and engaged when the terrain feels hostile or uncertain.
The conversation will be led by Angela Fobbs, who has worn many hats within Democrats Abroad, including former head of the Global Black Caucus. She will guide us through a courageous, thoughtful discussion designed to hold complexity, not flatten it.
Bring your reflections, your questions, your frustration, your hope. You don’t need the right words. You just need to show up.
This is The Cauldron. The pot is meant to bubble.
