We are seeing Democracy is being challenged across the globe - including the United States. Even while we may move to another country, let's still exercise our privilege to vote and protect our shared values.

My husband and I moved to the small village of Cela in what's called the Silver Coast and are loving every moment - even the bureaucracy! I spent 25 plus years as an entertainment and television producer and was fortunate to learn many skills that help me stand up for people with a lesser voice and stand strong in defense of my principles. I am excited to lead the Portuguese chapter of Democrats Abroad and hope to expand our numbers to the many democrats who have immigrated here in recent years.
