Intern with DA France

Bonjour, Young Democrats!

Democrats Abroad France is now accepting applications for student internships. DA France is one of the largest and oldest country committees of Democrats Abroad, the official arm of the Democratic Party for the millions of Americans living outside the US. We are a volunteer-run organization with a presence across France. We provide Americans living in France a voice in US politics back home and help elect Democrats by mobilizing the overseas vote. See more about our mission statement here.

We offer networking and social opportunities to interns, as well as training in voter registration, media/communications, and phone banking for young Americans seeking a career in politics or on Democratic Political campaigns stateside. Successful internships are eligible to receive a letter of recommendation from their internship supervisor, as well as credit that can be transferred to a college or university (if authorized by the university).

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, flexible start date determined upon successful application and university completing the convention de stage. Internships are unpaid and capped at 8 weeks, with the possibility to renew for a second internship. The location is flexible and may be completed remotely within France. You may request to work in any of our chapter cities or with any of our six caucuses (Youth Caucus, LGBTQ+ Caucus, Black Caucus, Diversity Caucus, Veterans & Military Families Caucus, or Women's Caucus). Successful applicants will pass two 40-minute interviews and be placed with a tutor de stage for the duration of their internship, who will help them draft their internship project and scope of work.
