Welcome to Democrats Abroad Brazil. We’re glad you’re here!
Democrats Abroad is the official Democratic Party arm for Americans living in Brazil. We are a community of Americans and eligible voters living in Brazil who are committed to making our voices heard in U.S. elections and staying connected to our democracy from abroad.
Our mission is to mobilize overseas voters, provide Americans abroad a voice in our government and elect Democratic candidates.
Our work is centered on Get Out the Vote (GOTV) — helping Americans in Brazil understand their voting rights, register to vote, request their ballots, and successfully return them. We provide practical information and support throughout the voting process, while working to make sure Americans abroad are represented in U.S. elections. Voting from Brazil
The Democrats Abroad Taxation Task Force helps our community navigate the unique challenges of living abroad, with Brazil specific seminars on dual taxation and other financial questions. You’ll also find helpful updates on Social Security and resources to help you stay informed and confident about your benefits while living overseas.
Democrats Abroad Brazil offers more than voting
We’re building a community. Through social gatherings, political discussions, cultural events, volunteer opportunities, book clubs, and other activities, we create opportunities for Americans and their families to connect with one another and build a sense of community in Brazil.
There’s no single way to be involved. Whether you have five minutes to share voting information, want to volunteer regularly, or simply want to meet other Americans who care about staying engaged, there’s a place for you here.
