Do we need an Equal Rights Amendment Discussion

A joint event with Women of the World Unite to mark the annual worldwide Women's March.

The event will kick off with a casual discussion over a light lunch about gender issues in Japan, then will be followed by a discussion of the merits and demerits of enshrining women’s rights in a nation’s constitution through passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. Not all agree that the Equal Right's Amendment should be passed in the United States, so this should be an interesting and passionate discussion. Join us to have your voice heard.

Discussion about systems and guarantees in various countries will be followed by a workshop focused on concrete actions that we can take to promote gender equality.

Cost: 2000 yen (light lunch included)
