With the new presidential ticket, renewed enthusiasm, and an abundance of postcards coming in from chapters throughout Germany, Frankfurt chapter member MichaelDurgin ( national coordinator for the postcard activity) was challenged to fulfill the new mailing requirements, put the finishing touches on incomplete postcards and meet the September 6-9 mailing deadline. On very short notice, a handful of Frankfurt chapter members rallied to his call and successfully made the deadline. Below is the concrete proof of their success.
An excerpt from Postcarding Coordinator Michael Dirgin's Thank You Note:
Hello Frankfurt DA postcard helpers!
I am pleased to let you know that all of our postcard mailings (more than 2,250) went out in the mail earlier this week. Bryan and I finished up the mailing preparation on Sunday and Monday.
We've already received responses (see above), so we know they are having an immediate effect!
Thank you so much for your efforts in wrapping up the project here in Frankfurt. I really couldn't have done it without you. Your time and support made a huge difference in our many tasks, from curating the cards for completeness, suitableness, and legibility, to stamping the return address on the envelopes, stuffing and sealing the envelopes, and then applying labels and stamps.
Beyond our joint task, I enjoyed the time we spent together on this common cause -- whether at my place or the SDP offices on the Berger Strasse. I hope we see each other at DA meetings or elsewhere in the future.
Onward!
Michael
