Resolutions Committee Public Hearing 2023
The DPCA will consider resolutions submitted by its members at the DPCA Global Meeting in June 2023. Resolutions can pertain to matters of internal governance, DA's advocacy of policies, or memorializing leaders who have recently passed away.
The Committee Hearings will be held on Saturday, May 20th from 10:00 am -14:00 pm Eastern. All are welcome to attend.

Modus Operandi:
During the hearings, each draft resolution or proposed charter amendment will be given a total of ten (10) minutes, allotted as follows: two (2) minutes for the primary sponsor to discuss the item, (3) minutes for the committee to ask questions, and (5) minutes for the public to make additional comments. The Committee will vote to either issue a favorable recommendation, issue no recommendation, or issue an unfavorable recommendation.
Resolutions will be discussed in the order they were submitted. If there's time remaining after the full allotment for each resolution – which may be shortened if there are no speakers in the queue – the hearing may return to resolutions where the discussion was cut off, in an order determined by the chair.

The Public commenting period ends on May 19, 2023, at 10 am Eastern.

The Chairs advise that each draft resolution or proposed charter amendment should pertain to the work of Democrats Abroad, and should not be irrelevant or contrary to the organization’s mission. Please consult the mission statement of Democrats Abroad for further information.
The committee reports will be sent out to the DPCA Voting Body with the 15-day notice, pursuant to the Charter.
