An Post confirmed this week, "Service as normal," when asked if mail-in ballots will still be posted for Americans living in Ireland and voting at home in the U.S. with mail-in ballots. Public Affairs Manager Angus Laverty said, "Nothing will interfere with the democratic process." Americans living in Ireland and voting in U.S. elections have assurance that the Irish postal service will continue operating as it has with regard to mailing ballots back to U.S. jurisdictions.
DA-IE has also confirmed with the American Citizen Services office Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy Dublin that ballots can be submitted to the security window at the U.S. Embassy to be sent to the U.S. in the Diplomatic pouch. Please note that this may take up to six weeks for delivery.
